Aime Sacrez began his art studies informally as a caricaturist at the age of 11 in Townsville, Australia.

In 1996, Aime met Susan Macauley, a lively Poet living in Townsville, who asked Aime to draw illustrations for her humorous Australian Poetry. Aime illustrated two books by Susan Macauley and later produced water-colour illustrations for her most recent Children's book called "The Green Frog Regatta".

In 1998, aged 17, Aime moved to Florence, Italy, studying classical sculpture, drawing and painting at the Charles H. Cecil Studio.

In 1999, Aime travelled through Europe, visiting the major art galleries in Italy, France, Spain, Holland and England. His tour of Europe took him to London, where he regularly worked as a portrait painter over the next three years. Aime received a grant from the ‘Prince's Trust', to assist with his art studies in Florence. Aime continued his art training at the Florence Academy of Art (1999 - 2001) studying the traditional methods and materials used by the old masters.

In 2001, Aime returned to Australia, spending much time camping and painting in the Australian bush, in the region of South Australia.

In 2002, he moved north, living on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. He sold his paintings, drawings and sculptures there at the ‘La Tourelle Gallery' in Tanawha.

Over the next few years, Aime also produced numerous commissioned portraits as well as teaching art to students.

In 2004, Aime travelled to Japan where he studied the traditional technique of Japanese ink wash painting - suibokuga. Later that year he returned to England for commissioned portrait work.

In 2006, Aime rented a studio in Florence, Italy where he painted classical nudes, Italian architecture and portraits. Later that year Aime held an Art workshop and group exhibition in Tara, Queensland. Aime is currently living with his wife near Melbourne, Australia.

Exhibitions of Aime's art work have been held on the Sunshine Coast in Australia in 2004 and 2005, in Osaka, Japan in 2005 and in Tara, Australia in 2007. His artwork hangs in private collections in Japan and the United Kingdom and public collections throughout Australia and the United Kingdom.
