Lisa has travelled extensively and has lived and exhibited in Australia, London and New York City, where her work was exceptionally well received. Lisa's work was described by US magazine, Art Business News as: ‘Large, energetic works that demand your attention and vibrant bursts of colour that seem to leap off the walls'. New York art advisor Richard Calderhead noted on seeing her work that: ‘The strength and power of this work is exceptional.'
Lisa's paintings are instinctive and yet their creation is through a deliberate process. They express her responses to the flows and turbulences of her life experience. Her intent being to leave the viewer invigorated and inspired by their own inner life, and the exuberance of the work they are viewing.
Collected and admired by clients worldwide, Lisa's art has been featured in exhibitions and publications globally and been the subject of TV coverage in New Zealand, London and New York. Hillary and Bill Clinton attended a private viewing at an exclusive solo show in New York which was sponsored by 42below vodka. Lisa has grown from her first 1999 exhibition in Christchurch to shows in the Chelsea Gallery district of New York and in New Zealand House in London, which was filmed for the John Campbell Live show. Lisa has continued to flourish as an artist and to see her profile rise to an international level.
